Val-Dieu Triple beer is nice, golden color with a soft, abundant and persistent foam. It is really magnificent in its fruity and spices notes. Furthermore, the alcoholic component is pleasant and well supports a perfect sweet/bitter taste, without resulting too strong. Finally, the after taste is dry, long, and persistent, with a noticeable and pleasant smooth sensation.

Val-Dieu Abbey is a Belgian brewery set in Aubel, a small town in the Walloon province of Liegi, that produces high quality beers.
The original name is Abbaye Notre-Dame du Val-Dieu, and it was found by Cistercians monks in 1216 A.D.
According to an ancient Legend, the actual Valley that hosts the abbey was an abandon, inhabited and hostile place, so the locals named it Val du Diable (Valley of the Devil). Later, when the monks started to set, they called it Val-Dieu (Valley of God). The monastery was built in the Middle Age, and reached its golden age in the 18th century.
